Monard Self-Measurement Guidelines

The Edinkillie Sport Services guide to self-measurement for Monard made-to-measure jackets and trousers.

What do I need ?

You will need a soft measuring tape and someone to help you to take your measurements. To make the measuring as easy as possible you will also need some pins and a narrow belt or a rope of some kind.

And then?

Put on your normally used shooting underwear and attach a safety pin or sticker in following locations:
  • Your neck vertebrae. If you place your hand in the lowest part of your neck, you can feel a node, this is the "neck vertebrae.
  • Find the place where your shoulder ends and where your arm begins. Put your finger at that location and move your arm, you can then feel the joint. Mark each side.

Attach a narrow belt, or tie a rope around your natural waistline. This should correspond with top of your hip bones, normally level with your navel.

You are now ready to start measuring. Please take all measurements exactly, and do not add anything - Monard will add what is required for a perfect fit.
