The Walther LG300XT Anatomic Senior is provided with an extra-long fore-end for bench-rest shooting, in addition there is a flat angled wedge on the grooved rail. This ensures the most physically favourable conditions for shooting from a rest: the further towards the muzzle the rifle is rested, the less the user's movements are transferred to the target (in accordance with lever principle). The shift of the weight towards the muzzle causes 'top-heaviness' and hence additional stability. The weighting towards the muzzle is assisted by the use of an extra-long steel cylinder.
The special rear cheek piece shape and the slimline angled rest blend harmoniously into the overall appearance of the rifle. The fore-end for bench-rest shooting can be easily removed and replaced by the hand rest for standing shooting. The attachment also allows this element to be pivoted (about the barrel axis) in order to set a permanent tilt towards the user. The permissible width of 6 centimeters was used to the full to ensure optimum stability on the rest feature.
