    Very nervous about expensive iris..but wow..fears laid to rest..it makes a huge difference..like adding an extra sight..well worth it.

    Having read conflicting reports on whether an iris helps or not, I can say from my experience it makes a real and positive difference. When tired and the eyes are becoming a little 'lazy' and not always focussing on the pistol end sight, using the iris on a smaller setting suddenly brings everything back into focus (or certainly improves things when the eyes are not playing at all!!) The other benefit is that occasionally the main lens orientation can be knocked and so you are looking through off-centre on the lens and thus making the sight more blurry. This iris also helps as a centering (sp?) device. Overall, worth the investment!!
