The guide plate is an upgrade for Grünig & Elmiger R3 Racer smallbore rifles, and replaces the panel to the left-hand side of the loading tray. The top section is hinged, and when folded down, the plate remains at a similar height to the existing plate on the R3, allowing for loading from the left-hand side of the rifle. When folded up however, the plate sits higher than the loading tray, helping keep rounds within the loading area prior to them being pushed into the breech.
