VFG woollen cleaning felts are a purely natural product containing no chemicals whatever. The manufacturing process ensures that the external surface possesses brush-like properties due to the innumerable fibre ends, which, when the correct pressure is applied, have an optimum cleaning effect.

These felts are very absorbent and can trap large and small particles of dirt in their tangled fibre structure and thus clean them out of the bore. The outstanding absorbency enables it to take up and store liquids (e.g. oil, solvents, polishing paste).

For slight soiling or for oiling and degreasing, we recommend the use of the normal felts.

    I use these cleaning felts with a pull through kit as well as a rod, and the felts pull the barrel clean really fast. You can also shoot them through if you need to do a quick clean, although I try not to do that as I don’t think you get the best out of the felt by just shooting them. If the barrel is very dirty I then use the intensive felts which work great too.
